And lastly…who can resist that stunning cover art by Diamonster/Caper Illustration? I can’t wait to see the cover reveal for the sequel! Explores themes of cultural identity, revenge, struggling with inner demons, and finding strength in community. I also did about 5 exam edge exams scoring 530-611. Third time around I did not use the FNP mastery app at all although some of my notes already contained info from the app. The past 2 weeks I only did practice questions from Leiks and Amelies book. How thin that line is, how easily corruptible a nobel cause becomes. I decided to make myself a 2 week calendar of what I was going to review. I love the debate around power and good/evil. The characters, however much you love or hate them, are not infallible. Zhao plays with point of view so well that you have to remind yourself to step back. The more of his story that came out, the more I couldn’t get enough. Zen was my favourite kind of male MC: a boy walking a knife edge between doing the right thing, and letting his demons consume him. She grew into her strength and identity without loosing the pieces of herself that made her an individual. Lan was quick witted and intelligent without being brooding or insufferable. I loved that we didn’t loose the characters despite the world building and intricate plot. The world building was lush and effortless, a true testament to Zhao’s talent as a writer. I was CONSUMED by this book for an entire weekend, I could not put it down. Populated by interesting characters who run through a page turning plot, this one ticks all the boxes. ![]() #songofsilverflamelikenight by Wen Zhao was the rich fantasy world I’ve been craving. ![]() And my college buddy who I met in the AANP conference, John Mercado! These include but are not limited to: MP3 Players, Amelies. I also met thousands of expert NPs who have been in the practice for decades, as well as young NPs who, together, are disrupting the traditional healthcare delivery, improving access to care, and closing the gap to health disparities. It’s a wrap! Congratulations to the convention committee for a very successful American Association of Nurse Practitioners National Conference 2023! I’ve learned tons of new practice trends, evidence-based guidelines, refresher classes, innovation and technologies, policy updates, and novel treatments and ideas.
